Atheisure Apparel Looks

We have all had those days when we feel like rolling out of bed and just wearing our pajamas for the rest of the day. Even though I love fashion and often look forward to planning outfits, I still sometimes just want to be super comfortable while still looking cute. Luckily, athleisure has become popular in the past couple of years and now you don’t have to sacrifice comfort for style! I have put together five super cute and comfy athleisure looks to possibly inspire your next lazy day outfit!

Outfit 1:

These patterned joggers are hands down the most comfortable pants in my closet, yet they are still super cute! I typically wear patterned pants like these with a simple tank top and some slides or tennis shoes. For a monochrome look, I wore a navy blue tank top to match the different blue shades in the pants.

Outfit 2:

When I thought of athleisure I used to only think of leggings or joggers, but there are so many other ways to wear the athleisure trend. For this look, I wanted to be bold, so I paired a tight cheetah print skirt with an oversized red sweatshirt to balance the patterns and colors. Cheetah print and red are always a good combination! To complete this sporty look, I went for some white sneakers, a black backpack, and a half-bun. Not only can you incorporate skirts into athleisure but also fun and bold patterns!

Outfit 3:

This is my favorite way to wear athleisure; sweatpants with a feminine or dainty top. Following the classic fashion rule of loose on bottom and fitting on top (or vice versa), I paired this fitted cardigan (from Plato’s!) with these loose gray sweatpants. I chose a white top and gray sweatpants to create a super chic neutral look. Then, I added a dainty bag to further juxtapose the athletic pants and add a pop of color. It’s a super simple look, yet comfy and cute!

Outfit 4:

When picking your next athleisure look, you don’t have to play it safe with color. Instead, try creating a unique color palette for your outfit. These fun color combinations can make comfy clothes look super put together. For this outfit, I paired these light pink joggers with a sage green sweatshirt. I finished off the pastel look with a simple and chic baby blue bag!

Outfit 5:

Lastly, if you prefer to wear neutrals then try incorporating fun patterns. Although subtle, the floral pattern on these leggings add a cute detail to this otherwise simple outfit. I wore a slouchy grey top, my favorite black sneakers, and a white bag to tie everything together. Not only is this outfit practical and comfortable due to the leggings, but also stylish from the floral details! The perfect combination of style and comfort.

Hopefully, you guys got some inspiration from these outfits! Remember that you don’t have to sacrifice comfort for style, athleisure is here to help you feel like you’re wearing pajamas all day while looking super stylish!

New Year's Eve Looks

As 2019 comes to an end, it’s time to start looking ahead at the new year. What better way to ring in the new year than with a great New Year’s Eve look! These are 3 of my top New Year’s Eve picks. I hope they will inspire you to ring in 2020 with style!

 Outfit 1:

New Year’s Eve is all about the outfits, so for my first look, I had to have some sparkle! To create this look, pair any basic top (or a long sleeve if you live in a cold state, like me) with a sparkly skirt, and fun boots! Next, just add some accessories and you’re ready to go to your next New Year’s party!

 Outfit 2:

This next outfit is perfect if you’re going for a little bit more of a casual New Year’s Eve look. The top I chose, has some shimmer to it, which I love for New Year’s. To achieve a similar look, all you need is a long sleeve top, a dress to layer over, and you’re set! For this outfit, I chose to wear thigh-high boots, but this look can also be achieved with short booties, heels, or flats!

 Outfit 3:

Last, but not least, the little black dress! This outfit is fun, flirty, and festive! Personally, this look is my favorite and it's super easy to find in your closet. To achieve this look, simply grab your favorite LBD, fun booties, and accessories. With that simple combo--you’re sure to be the star of the show!

I hope these outfits inspire you to find your perfect New Year's Eve look! 2019 was one for the books and I can’t wait to see what 2020 holds!

Cozy Winter Styles

There’s three styles this winter that have definitely caught my eye! Though there are so many trends emerging this winter, I fell in love with tonal outfits, androgyny, and a statement coat. With each of these three, it's really so easy to put your own twist to it to emphasize your style within these cozy trends.

Outfit 1:

It’s so easy to transform an outfit by adding a statement coat. With this outfit, I opted to go comfy and all black, and by pairing a statement coat with it I was able to make it pop! This trend can really transform an effortless and easy outfit, especially when you’re on the go. Also, to add more of a pop, you can opt to wear pants with bold lettering or designs such as the ones I’m wearing.

Outfit 2:

Blush pink is really my favorite color right now and with the tonal look trend, of course, this was easy for me to do. Gone are the days of being afraid to be too matchy. For this trend, you can wear your ultimate favorite color with pride! Because the coat is also a statement coat, I decided to wear a bodysuit underneath and pair these with slip ok sneakers; I didn’t want it to feel too dressed up, so this is a perfect example of mixing casual with preppy.

Outfit 3:

I’ve expressed this too many times and I will continue to do so but I love jeans!!! And what better jean is there than a classic, vintage mom jean. Mom jeans are all about opting out of a trendy skinny leg and going with a straight leg. This outfit is less focused on emphasizing your figure and is really more about capitalizing on the characteristics of the actual outfit. This is also a very easy look to pull together.

Today's Hottest Jewelry & Accessory Trends

Have you been buying jewelry like crazy lately too? With all the amazing jewelry and accessory trends right now, I just can’t help myself! What trends have you been loving lately? I’m here today to show you the hottest jewelry pieces, and accessories!

Chunky Pendant Necklaces:

I picked up a chunky necklace from Hannah Lynn jewelry and I’ve been wearing it almost every day since! A chunky necklace adds SO much to a simple everyday outfit. I love pairing my necklace with chunky sweaters, it’s the perfect combo!

Hoops, Hoops, Hoops:

Hoops have seriously blown up the jewelry world these past few months if you haven’t noticed by now! Small hoops, big hoops, dainty hoops, and chunky hoops, they’re all trending right now and I have a feeling they’re not going anywhere anytime soon (but I'm not complaining)! I love the small dainty gold hoops, but I’m also loving the statement chunkier hoops! You choose!

Layering Necklaces Together:

Layering necklaces have always been a trend, but it’s stronger now than ever! I love pairing my chunky necklaces with daintier short necklaces. It’s a simple, but classic look and I can’t get enough.

Is this even a trendy post without talking about barrettes? Who would've guessed that our 9-year-old fashion style would come back, but it did! Barrettes are hot and trending right now, and at first, I wasn’t sure what I thought about it, but I’ve finally jumped on board and I’m obsessed! I ordered a $4 pearl barrette from Zaful and I love adding it to different outfits to give it an extra touch!

Long Socks with Booties:

Who else is obsessed with the socks and booties combo? I love pairing my long white socks from Walmart with my simple black booties! My black boots are from Call it Spring and I’m so glad I finally found a pair of staple black boots for my shoe collection. I like putting the boots on and then pushing down my socks so they are ruffled!

Pearl Earrings:

How expensive do you think these earrings were? Well, guess what, these are from Walmart and came in a pack of 20 adorable earrings for $15! I love all the earrings in this pack, but the pearl earrings are my favorite everyday staple! If you don’t have a pair already, you should get some asap!

Thanks so much for reading, I hope you are obsessed with these hot jewelry and accessory trends as much as I do! Which trend is your favorite?

Versatile Holiday Looks

The holiday season brings not only great food but also great fashion. I’ve compiled a few of my favorite holiday outfits for various occasions. From super casual to slightly more dressy, I have some ideas for you!

Outfit 1:

This first outfit is perfect for a holiday dinner or party that requires a dressed-up look. I paired this mock neck white top with this bright burnt orange skirt for a fun contrast, then I added some tights to accommodate the cold weather. Lastly, I finished off the look with some patterned booties! They added the perfect amount of detail and tied together all the colors of the outfit.

Outfit 2:

This midi floral skirt has the perfect neutral colors for a Thanksgiving dinner or any occasion! I threw on some tan platform sandals to match. If you would like some extra warmth or cover swap the t-shirt for a long sleeve or even a cute tan sweater! Don’t abandon your florals this holiday season.

Outfit 3:

This is a super versatile look, you can easily dress it up or down depending on the occasion. I would wear this look for a casual holiday dinner. I simply paired my favorite mom jeans with a white sweater and threw on some detailed sandals. The black belt with a silver buckle perfectly matches the silver beads on the shoes.

Finally, I completed the look with a cute beaded bag that added a festive pop of color and detail to this overall simple outfit. I also added a little beaded necklace that matched the beads on my shoes. You can easily elevate your simple pieces by simply adding some detailed accessories!
