Abigail Breslin glams up for latest role
Abigail Breslin captured the hearts of moviegoers everywhere when she was just 9 with performance "Little Miss Sunshine. Since then, Breslin has been one of the busiest young actresses in Hollywood, and as she chooses more mature roles, her style is growing with her. In her most recent film, "Final Girl," Breslin takes her fashion to the next level, donning a red dress, lipstick and blond hair that hearkens to a bygone era, according to Yahoo Movies.
The role is a big step forward for the 16-year-old star. After earning an Oscar nomination for "Little Miss Sunshine," she has slowly been increasing her range, with comedic turns in movies like "Zombieland" as well as more dramatic roles like in "My Sister's Keeper." In "Final Girl," her sartorial choices helped her reach new ground, she said.
"I was excited to do that movie, and it is different from anything I've done. It was fun to go a little bit glam. My family didn't actually recognize me, but they all thought it was pretty cool," she told Yahoo.
Anybody who wants to emulate Breslin's maturing style should consider shopping at consignment stores, where they can find gently used brand name clothing for a fraction of the original cost.
