4 winter-approved boots
With the crazy weather patterns across the nation in the last few years, you never know when or where flurries will come down. To plan for those "chance of snow" days, have a couple water-resistant footwear options in your closet.
Sometimes, even during snowy downpours, the weather will be bearable. On those days, slip on your rain boots. These shoes aren't made for frigid temps, but they are your best bet against slushy puddles. To add another layer of comfort and warmth, wear with thick knee-high socks that peek out from the top of the boots.
What are these you ask? Snow booties are winter's equivalent to the ankle boot. Look for versions with extra grippy soles and a fur lining. Choose from the variety of flat and wedge heel styles.
Old school boots
The classic snow boot is back in style. Wear this option and you'll look like you just left a ski resort. They have durable soles with lots of traction and multi-layered bodies.
