3 ways to wear scarves all winter long
During the winter, scarves are a girl's best friend. Luckily you can pick them up in tons of styles to show off new looks throughout the cold-weather season. But even your go-to neck warmers can feel a bit uninspired if you continue to rock them the same way. Here are a few ways to wear your old - and new - scarves:
Chunky scarves work best for this first style. So take a heavyweight or ultra-long one and wrap it around your neck a few times after you put on your coat. If your jacket of choice is a wool peacoat you'll look like a posh city dweller. Style tip: Tuck in the ends of the scarf for a makeshift infinity scarf.
If you have a jacket with a wide lapel, try this next look. Grab a rectangular faux fur scarf in any hue, or head to a used clothes store to pick one up. Then put on your topper and lay the scarf along your lapel so it takes on the shape. Stick the leftover length into your jacket and admire the result.
For the last look you'll need a blanket-style scarf. It's just a long piece of cotton fabric shaped into the perfect neck warmer. Put on an outerwear piece like a poncho or a cape, and drape the scarf around your neck. You can add a feminine touch to the look by belting the jacket, but you can also leave it as-is to harness your inner fashionista.
